Speck Funeral Home - Robert Mayburn Ray Obituary
Mr. Robert Mayburn Ray, also known as "Cowboy", age 68, of Rickman passed away at his residence on May 29th, 2026. Robert was a pleasant man who enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Li Ray, his sons Joshua Scherette, Ronald Mayburn Ray Sukelaris, Grandchildren Wyatt Scherette, Freya Scherette, and his sister Brenda Garza.
Robert was preceded in death by his daughter Angela Mallick and his sisters Debbie Morgan and Sherry Corum.
Robert loved visiting with his neighbors and talking about whatever popped in their heads. He loved children and listening to music from the sixties, seventies, and classic country music. Always seen with his signature cowboy hat whether he was mowing his yard or fishing, Robert always had a smile and a friendly wave at the ready. Robert will be missed by his friends and family.
A private Celebration of Life will be held and conducted by the family at a later date.
