Mr. Ronald Albert Gunnels, age 61, of Byrdstown, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Pickett County Health and Rehab.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m at Hatcher Hall Cemetery, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember his life. Bro. Jimmy Rigney will conducted the service.

Ronald was born on June 12, 1963, in Barberton, Ohio, to the late Albert Edward and Ethel Aletha Stover Gunnels. He lived a life shaped by hard work and simple pleasures. Ronald found joy in the outdoors, especially in coon hunting, and spent countless hours enjoying the sounds of classic country music. His time behind the wheel as a semi-truck driver reflected his independent spirit and love of the open road.

He is survived by his brother, Randall Gunnels of Livingston, TN, along with a host of cousins and extended family who will cherish his memory.

Ronald was preceded in death by his loving parents, Albert and Ethel Gunnels and brother Richard Gunnels.

He will be remembered for his down-to-earth nature, his love of the land, and the steady rhythm of a country song that matched the steady pace of his life.
