Ronald Clayton Ruble, age 84, of Allons, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his residence on September 1, 2025.
He was born in Allons, Tennessee, on March 22, 1941, to the late John and Elnora Ruble.
Ronald served with honor in the United States Army, a time in his life he carried with quiet pride and dignity.
He went on to have a long and dedicated career as a foreman for the Miami Herald, where he was respected for his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to excellence.
Ronald had an assortment of interests throughout his life. He especially loved antique and classic cars, and enjoyed not only collecting them but also learning everything he could about them. He had a passion for horses, motorcycles, and was an avid NASCAR fan. His love for all things fast and powerful reflected his spirited and adventurous nature.
Ronald always had a deep love for his family and the friends he held dear. He will be remembered for his kind heart, strong spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jackie Ruble; daughters Virginia Sue Moore and husband Timothy, Vaneta Ruble Bottom and husband Wade, and Veronica Lee Bierer and husband David.
He is also survived by his grandchildren: Andrea Theis, Andrew Theis and wife Marina, John Theis, Wade Bottom II, Jamie Gilpatrick, Alexandrea Bierer, David Bierer, and Kaitlyn Tompkins and husband Austin.
His great-grandchildren include: Tyler Cox, Haden Cox, Kayliegh Cox, Jordan Hostler, Caden Theis, Haley Theis, Aleah Theis, Amber Theis, Izzy Bottom, Cooper Gilpatrick, and Scarlett Rose Tompkins.
He is also survived by one great-great-grandchild, William Cox.
Ronald is further survived by his sisters: Beaulah Simmons, Virginia Thompson, and Patsy Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Elnora Ruble; brothers Bud Ruble, John Ruble, Glenn Ruble, and infant brother Claxton; sister Genieva Hawkins; and great-great grandson Grayson Cox.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 6th at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home with Bro. Roy Lee Seber officiating. Burial will follow at Hoover Cemetery. Military honors will be provided at the graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 5th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
