Speck Funeral Home - Rose Ann (Ledbetter) Poston

Graveside Services for Mrs. Rose Ann Ledbetter Poston, age 84 of McMinnville and formerly of Overton County, will be conducted 3 PM Friday, April 29, 2022, from the Overton County Memorial Gardens.  Bro. Chris Coil will officiate.  The family will welcome friends on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM and again on Friday from 1 PM until 2:45 PM at Speck Funeral Home.

It was a sad day for the Poston and Ross families, but it was a wonderful day for the angels in heaven.  On April 26, 2022, Rose Ann Poston was called home unexpectedly to be with her loving husband Gilbert, her family, her long time friends that had gone on before her, and her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Rose Ann was born on April 1, 1938, in Jackson County, Tennessee.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruby and Robert Ledbetter, and two brothers Fred Harris and James Harris.  She is survived by a sister, Brenda Key, that resides in Rickman.

Rose Ann was married to the love of her life for 64 years, Gilbert Poston, who preceded her in death.  Rose Ann is survived by her daughter Tami Poston Ross and son in law, Larry Ross, both of McMinnville, Tennessee, her sister in law and brother in law Jeanette and Keith Brown of Hilham and many nieces and nephews.  Other survivors include her special friends, Roxie Little, Dalphine Carmack, and Carolyn Vinson.

Anyone who knew Rose Ann, Gilbert, and Tami, know that special love abounded in their family.  They were each committed and consumed with their love and devotion for each other.  During Gilbert's sickness, Rose Ann moved to McMinnville to be closer to Tami.  Since that time they visited, shopped, loved, and laughed and were constant companions.  They were not only mother and daughter but also the very best of friends.

The Poston family have always been dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ and attended the Livingston Church of Christ throughout their lives.  They were an integral and active part of the congregation until Gilbert's long term illness prior to his death.  Rose Ann most recently attended the Westwood Church of Christ in McMinnville.

Rose Ann was a friend to everyone and always available to assist anyone in need.
