Mrs. Ruth "Lois" Cantrell, age 90, of Rickman, TN, passed away peacefully at her home on September 18, 2025.

The family has chosen to honor her life with a private graveside service.

Lois was born on February 2, 1935, to the late Jimmy and Emma Garrett Reagan. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Lois found her greatest joy in her family. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her love for them was boundless.

Lois was known as the best Southern cook, whose kitchen was always filled with warmth, love, and the aroma of home-cooked meals. She also enjoyed the art of quilting. Her favorite place to be was on one of her farms, surrounded by the peace of the land she loved. That love for the farm and the lifestyle it brought was something she passed down through the generations, and her legacy continues to live on in her children and grandchildren.

And a host of nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her love and kindness.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Cantrell, and her son, Steve Sidwell.
