Speck Funeral Home - Ruth McCormick

Funeral Services for Ms. Ruth McCormick, age 82 of Livingston, will be conducted 2 PM Friday, October 22nd from the First Freewill Baptist Church in Livingston.  Bro. Bud Hargis and Bro. Derrick Copepland will officiate.  Burial will be in McDonald Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Friday from 12 PM until the time of services at 2 PM at the church.

Ms. McCormick passed from this life on Wednesday afternoon, October 20, 2021, from Ascension St. Thomas West in Nashville.  She was born in Overton County on April 13, 1939, to the late Bill and Della Mae Cope McCormick.  Ruth loved gardening and tending to her flowers.  She always enjoyed being around her family and spending time outdoors.  She was a great cook, who loved to bake and can fresh produce.

Ruth leaves behind her sister Betty June Bilbrey of Livingston; brother James McCormick of Indianapolis, Indiana; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and half sisters Billie Smith and husband Jesse of Alpine and Barbara Walker of Byrdstown.

In addition to her parents, Ms. McCormick was preceded in death by her half brother Buck McCormick and half sister Wilma Faye York.

Pallbearers to serve are Mike Bilbrey, Allen Bilbrey, and Matthew Bilbrey.
