Speck Funeral Home - Scott Wayne Griffin Obituary

Mr. Scott Wayne Griffin, 57, of Cookeville passed away at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center on January 15th 2026. Scott was a kind man who questioned the official government and media report as the absolute truth from time to time.

Scott was born in Munster IN to the late Harold and Norma Guthrie Griffin on June 30th 1968. He is survived by his sisters Kim (John) Fernandez, Chris Griffin, Becky Willoby, and Stephanie Griffin, and brother Mike Griffin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Scott was a pursuer of truth. He believed in buying "America First" whenever possible. Sometimes the official report was much harder for Scott to believe than the average person. The technology to land on the moon was not available in the 1960's and may not even be possible now. Why haven't we been back? Questions like this peaked Scott's interest and got his wheels to turning. Scott had an interest in Native American items including leather workings. In Scott's pursuit for truth, he found Jesus Christ as his savior and was baptized in 2024 and chose to affiliate with Jesus Precious Word Church in Livingston. He was a 1986 graduate of Livingston Academy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. When that is going to be is currently a secret because you never know who might be watching and listening when a group gathers.
