Speck Funeral Home - Shirlyn Kay Gore

Graveside Services for Mrs. Shirlyn Kay McCormick Gore, age 77, of Livingston will be conducted 2 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2021 from Campground Cemetery.  Bro. Brett Gibbons will officiate.  The family will welcome friends on Friday from 12 noon until time of services at Campground Cemetery. 

Kay passed from this life on Sunday afternoon, August 29, 2021 from the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  She was born in Akron, Ohio on September 20, 1943 to the late Edgar Dawson McCormick and Clura V. Geesling McCormick.  Christian in Faith, Shirlyn taught school for the LBJC.  She loved her children, and grandchildren. Shirlyn enjoyed cooking, sewing, going to yard sales, and spending time with her friends.

Kay leaves behind her sons, Mark Gore and wife Lea Ann of Hilham, TN, and David Gore and wife Amy of Hilham, TN; grandsons, William Charles Gore, Richard Andrew Gore, and Jake Edward Gore; brother, Gary McCormick of Livingston, TN.

In addition to her parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brother, Michael McCormick.

Pallbearers to serve are Jake Edward Gore, Will Gore, Chad Dillon, Timmy Geesling, Mike Savage, and Drew Gore.
