Graveside Services for Mrs. Sonja Komen Cravens, 83, of Waxhaw, NC will be conducted 11 a.m., Monday, February 26, 2024, from the Overton County Memorial Gardens.  The family will welcome friends at the graveside.

   Mrs. Sonja passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 in North Carolina.  She was born in Indonesia on October 23, 1940, the daughter of the late Jacobus Nicholaas Komen and Edith Margot Simon. She is also preceded by her son Rutherford D. Cravens Jr., brother Pete Komen and sister Maria Gottberg.

Sonja is survived by her husband of 63 years, R.D. Cravens, son Larry Cravens (Vickie) brother, Ron Komen sister Netty Sebal, three grandchildren; Autumn Cravens, Brenna Magda (Walter), and Colleen Cravens.
