Mrs. Susan Blankenship, age 64, of Rickman passed away at home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Speck Funeral Home. Officiated by Bro. Todd Sutton. Burial to follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Family will welcome friends on Monday, March 10, 2025 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and then again on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until time of service. 

Susan was born on April 4, 1960, to the late Luther and Beulah Adkins in Pike County, Kentucky. She was a devoted mother who poured her heart into raising her family, always making sure her children knew they were loved and cared for.

As a grandmother and great-grandmother, Susan's joy only grew as she played with her grandbabies and great-grandbabies, creating memories that will be cherished forever. Her love for them was boundless, and she found happiness in each precious moment spent with them. Susan had an unwavering love for the Lord. She prayed every night, always holding on to her faith, no matter what life brought her way. Her relationship with God was the foundation of her strength and peace, and it inspired those around her. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, and her love, faith, and kindness will never be forgotten.

She is survived by her children Jamie Blankenship and Frankie Hurley of Rickman, Jimmy Adam Blankenship of Rickman, Naomi Bryant and husband Brandon of Rickman, Thomas McCloud of Rickman; grandchildren Tiffany Randles and husband Keith, Savannah Hurley, Bo Keene, Dewayne Blankenship, James Blankenship, Beulah Blankenship, Steven Dotson, Jaylyn Sargent, and Mariah Sargent; great-grandchildren Paxton Randles, Olivia Randles, Eric Branner Armentrout, Jarod Armentrout, Rosie Keene, and Elijah Blankenship; and sisters Gearldine Scot and husband James, and Ruby Janes Prater and husband Carl.

In addition to her parents Susan was preceded in death by husbands Starlin Blankenship and Jimmy McCloud.

Pallbearers to serve are Brandon Byrant, Keith Randles, Bo Keene, Thomas McCloud, Jimmy Blankenship, and Eric Armentrout.
