Speck Funeral Home - Teddy "Pete" Garrett

Funeral Services for Mr. Teddy "Pete" Garrett, age 85 of Livingston, will be conducted 2 PM Monday, April 17th from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home.  Bro. Denton Hummel will officiate.  Burial will be in the Garrett Cemetery.  The family will welcome friends on Sunday from 5 PM until 9 PM with a Masonic service to be conducted at 7 PM. 

Mr. Garrett passed from this life on Friday, April 14, 2023, from the comforts of his home.  He was born in Allons on August 14, 1937, to the late James Lester and Lora Catherine Cole Garrett.  Pete enjoyed being outdoors especially coon hunting and fishing, and watching westerns. He loved his wife and family very much.

Mr. Garrett leaves behind his wife Shelia Garrett of Livingston, TN; sons Rex Garrett and wife Jeri of Washington state and Ted Garrett of Livingston, TN; daughter Teresa Martin and husband Oley of Murfreesboro, TN; 4 grandsons Rick, Doug, Zach, and Brock; 2 granddaughters Braden Nicole and Logan Brooke; and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Garrett was preceded in death by his brothers Clyde Garrett, Coley Garrett, Billy Garrett, Lewis Garrett, Joe Garrett, and Monty Garrett and sisters Anna Lee Thompson, Nytraee Helton, and Geneva Maynord.

Pallbearers to serve are Jack Parrott, Roy Dale Parrott, and Joel Garrett. Honorary Pallbearer Darrell Thompson.
