Funeral Services for Mrs. Ernestine "Teena" Young, age 76, of Monroe will be conducted 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from the chapel of Beaty Swamp Community Church. Burial to follow in the Beaty Cemetery .  Pastor Maston Jackson will officiate.  The family will welcome friends on Monday evening from 5 until 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 10 until 1 p.m at Beaty Swamp Community Church.

Mrs. Teena passed from this life on Saturday evening, December 2, 2023, from the NHC HealthCare, Cookeville.  She was born in Jamestown, Tennessee on December 13, 1946, to the late Ernest and Clara Richardson Beaty.

Teena leaves behind her daughter, Mary Jane Calder and husband Jason of Cookeville; grandchildren Riley Calder and Elsie Calder; sister Phyllis Arnold of Cookeville; and stepchildren Arnold Stephens of Jamestown and Carolyn Stephens Dodson of Jamestown.

In addition to her parents, Teena was preceded in death by her husband Perry Young and brothers Harlan Brooks Beaty and Jerry Bruce Beaty

The family of Mrs. Teena would like to extend their gratitude for the care she received from NHC Cookeville and Caris Hospice.
