Funeral services for Mr. Terry Wayne Hutchison, age 55, of Livingston, Tennessee, will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Kerry Duke will officiate, and burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, with Military Honors provided at graveside by the Overton County Veterans Honor Guard.

The family will welcome friends for visitation on Wednesday, December 4, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and again on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at Speck Funeral Home.

Terry peacefully passed away at his home in Livingston on Monday, December 2, 2024. Born on January 30, 1969, in Livingston, Tennessee, he was the son of May Dean Hutchison Winningham and the late Earl Hargis.

Terry was a 1988 graduate of Livingston Academy and proudly served his country during Operation Desert Storm as a member of the United States Army. His time in the service was a meaningful part of his life, and he carried those values of dedication and perseverance throughout his years.

He found joy in the simple things—spending time with his children, sharing fishing trips with his son Bryson, and watching military movies. Terry was a quiet leader, serving as the Chief of Police in Baxter, Tennessee, and he cared deeply for his community and those he worked with.

Above all else, Terry was a family man. He treasured his children and grandchildren and remained a devoted son, brother, and uncle.

Terry is survived by those who loved him dearly: Daughters: Shayla Hutchison of Cookeville, TN, and Brooklyn Hutchison of Knoxville, TN. Sons: Bryson Hutchison of Cookeville, TN, and Seth Hutchison (wife, Ashley) of Livingston, TN. Granddaughters: Sadie and Ellie. Mother: May Dean Winningham. Stepmother: Charlene Hargis of Bloomington Springs, TN. Sister: Amie Hargis (fiancé, David Maxwell).  He also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his father, Earl Hargis, his sister, Kimberly Hutchison, and his stepfather, Howard Winningham

Pallbearers to serve are Jamie Hutchison, David Shoemaker, Bryson Hutchison, Kirk Ledbetter, Seth Hutchison, and Ashton Price.  Honorary Pallbearer is Eric Mullins
