Graveside Services for Mrs. Wilma Ann Brown Phillips, age 79, of the Hardys Chapel Community will be conducted 1 p.m., Monday, November 9, 2020 from the Arlington Cemetery in Putnam County. The family will welcome friends at the graveside.
Mrs. Wilma passed peacefully in her sleep on Friday morning, November 6, 2020 from the Bethesda Health Care Center in Putnam County. She was born in Celina, Tennessee on December 15, 1940 to the late Joe M. & Norma Gray Brown. Wilma was a 1959 graduate of Clay County High School and was a member of the Netherland Church of Christ. She worked for many years in the office at Cookeville Regional as a Dietary Aide. Wilma was a hard worker from daylight till dark. She made wonderful works of art with her needle and thread. A very crafty lady, she enjoyed fixing up homes and traveling the back roads with her husband and family.
Wilma leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Mr. Thomas Phillips of the Hardys Chapel Community; daughters, Rhonda Meyers & husband Oralee of Clarksville, TN, and Deborah Sherfield; grandchildren, April Furcean, Tabitha Norden, Sabrina Randolph, and Brittany Gribble; great-grandchildren, Emily Furcean, Alexander Furcean, Ethan Norden, Isabella Clark, Braylon Hankerson, and Alysia Gribble; sister, Brenda Goins.
In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Brown.
