Funeral Services for Mrs. Zenith Alyne Williams Norrod, age 87, of Monroe, Tennessee will be conducted 12 noon, Saturday, April 27, 2024, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Kerry Duke will officiate. Burial to follow in the Overton County Memorial Gardens. The family will welcome friends on Friday evening from 4 until 8 p.m., then on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of services at noon.
Mrs. Zenith passed from this life on Tuesday evening, April 23, 2024, from the Vanderbilt Medical Center of Lebanon. She was born at home in Livingston, Tennessee on July 16, 1936, to the late Garland and Orpha Ledbetter Gunnels. Zenith worked many years in the garment industry in Livingston. She always put others before herself helping in any way she could. She loved her family especially her grandchildren whom she was very protective of. Zenith loved her cherry coke, and listening to the grand ole opry music, especially Loretta Lynn.
Zenith leaves behind her husband Gerald Norrod of Monroe, TN; daughter, Shannon Carney and husband Kenneth of Lebanon, TN; grandchildren, Racheal Goodman and husband Bradley, Lucas Daugherty and wife Becca, Emily Ward and husband Chris, and Gibson Carney; great-grandchildren, Beau Daugherty, Coleson Daugherty, Willow Daugherty, and Dailey Goodman; sister, Sue Smith of Ross, OH.
In addition to her parents, Zenith was preceded in death by her 1st husband and father of her daughter, Morris Williams; and brothers, Larry Wayne Gunnels and Donith Zane Gunnels.
Pallbearers to serve are Lucas Daugherty, Gibson Carney, Bradley Goodman, Chris Ward, Cory Norrod, Chuck Davis, Chad Reeser, and Steve Smith.
