W.T. Wilson, of the Highland Mountain Community and formally of the Cedar Hill community in Robertson County, was born on November 21, 1941, and passed away on May 22, 2026 at home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 2 PM from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Visitation will be will Monday, May 25, 2026 at 2 PM and on Tuesday, May, 26th until the time of the services. Burial will be the Carter Bilbrey Cemetery on Highland Mountain.
W.T. was the son of the late Phineas and Margaret Wilson of Robertson County, Tennessee. W.T. retired from State Stove after over 30 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a master shot with a bow and won may trophies and awards. While he grew up in the Catholic faith, he began attending Highland Freewill Baptist Church when he married Vonda in 2003. W.T. was a quiet man, with a dry sense of humor. When he did have something to say, it was always after deep thought and reflection. He was loved by all.
In addition to parents W.T. was preceded in death by grandsons Terry Hutcherson and Luke, and stepdaughter Jennifer.
W.T. is survived by his wife Vonda Lee Bilbrey Walker Wilson; sons W.T. Wilson, Jr. of Hilham; Michael Wilson of Cedar Hill, daughter, Tammy Hutcherson of Springfield. Stepsons Keith Walker of Hilham, Jimmy (Dawn) Walker of Highland Mountain; stepdaughters Necie (Justin) Ledbetter of Highland Mountain, Irene (Dallas) Sullivan of Sparta, Christy (Jamie) Garrett of Highland Mountain. Grandaughters Elizabeth Hutcherson, Mary Wilson, Starr Wilson, Kelly Wilson-Chaney. Step-grandsons, J.E. (Jamie) Ledbetter, Josh (Ireland) Walker, Blake Ledbetter, Luke Sullivan, Tyler (Paxton) Garrett, James (Brandie) Grant, Little Robert. Step granddaughters Tiffany (Jonathan) Wix, Carolyn, Susie, Lisa of Springfield; Christy (David) Bull, Nikki (Travis) Stevens, Kelsey Walker, Tiffany (Brandon) Watts, and Sabrina (Daniel) Mueller, Linda and Little Bobbie, Shana, Tonya; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildern, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews; brothers-in-law Glen Bilbrey of Hilham, Clarence (Colleen) Walker of Livingston and Wayne Walker of California; Sister-in-laws Cassie Brown of Livingston, Wanda Bilbrey of Livingston.
